Reading Approach - Evidence Based

Miss Lothian and Mrs Haberfield have put together an introductory video explaining some changes to reading occurring at our school in 2021. These changes are being made so that our practices align with evidence-based research, rather than continuing to do what has always been done. In summary, we will be moving away from levelled take home books to decodable texts as this will better support our systematic phonics instruction in the junior classrooms.
