Commencing Primary / Secondary School

Children spend about five years in their home environment before beginning school. A tremendous amount of LEARNING takes place before the child comes to school - Social Development, Emotional Development and Language Development. Language skills are developed by communication (talking and listening).
It is of vital importance that all children gain a comprehensive background of language skills. Talk and listen to your child, answer questions if you can, guide them in their play, let them hear stories, poems, songs, nursery rhymes etc. from you as well as from the television. This kind of background is essential to your child. This is the basis for rich and varied experiences.
